Home based Remedies for Low Blood Pressure !!

Low BP (Hypotension) can be a sign that not enough blood is getting to the organs. Though it is not a concern until you feel light-headedness, dizziness, weakness, nausea but you need to be careful of the symptoms. Low BP can be inherited, due to aging, some medical conditions, or during pregnancy. Some home remedies are given below in case you have symptoms.

Some tips to regulate Low BP:

Eat more salt – Salt works as an instant pick-me-up. But not too much to cause health problems. Try smoked fish, cottage cheese, pickled items, and olives.

Drink water – Dehydration is a common cause of low blood pressure. Drink coconut water, Bael ka sharbat, and Aam Panna in your low blood pressure diet.

Eat small meals frequently filled with the right nutrients. This one’s a great home remedy for people who have diabetes.

Wear compression stockings – stockings help to distribute blood throughout the body and also help to reduce the pressure and & pain arising out of varicose veins.

Drink Caffeine – There is no reason behind this but having a cup of coffee in the morning can be an instant remedy for low BP. Make this a part of your meals.

Boost your B12 and folate-rich foods (asparagus, beans, lentils, citrus fruits, leafy greens, eggs, and liver) and cut back on Carbs.

Drink carrot and beetroot juice. Enjoy a cup of licorice tea to normalize blood pressure. Green tea can be helpful too.

Chewing five to six tulsi leaves every morning lowers cholesterol levels and blood pressure.

Almond Milk: Rich in Omega-3 fatty acids. Snack on almonds as there is no cholesterol or saturated fat.

Raisins are an ideal Ayurvedic remedy to help cure hypotension (Low BP) naturally.

Munakka: Another granny’s trick. Soak some munakka overnight, boil it with milk and have it in the morning.

Massage – Apply 5 to 6 drops of rosemary oil mixed with 1 tablespoon coconut or olive oil, over the whole body and massage lightly once a day.

Avoid alcoholic beverages as it dips blood pressure more.

Avoid sudden position changes. Rise slowly from a sitting or lying position. Raise the head of your bed by about 15cm (6 inches). Cross legs while sitting. Take ample rest and avoid stress.
