Natural ways to improve Eye Sight (Vision) !!

Poor vision is a common occurrence these days irrespective of age. It is of two types: near-sightedness and far-sightedness. We can correct poor sight by wearing glasses, contact lenses, or by undergoing surgery.If blur vision is ignored, it can lead to vision loss.
Reasons for eyesight problems can be growing age, too much screen time, poor diet, lack of sleep, smoking, working in dim light, diabetes, glaucoma, sometimes brain injury or inherited disorders can lead to sight issues.
Some home remedies that can help to cure poor eyesight are as under.

Get enough key vitamins and minerals: Vitamins A, C, & E, the mineral zinc, omega-3 fatty acids, micronutrients (lutein and zeaxanthin) are recommended for better eye health. So, include food such as salmon, flaxseed, leafy green vegetables, broccoli, zucchini, and eggs, carrots, spinach, strawberries, sweet potato.

Some helpful Herbs:

Eyebright: Eyebright is a herb that has been used for eye health improvement since time immemorial. It treats the problem of conjunctivitis, also called pink eye. It aids in the reduction of inflammation, itchiness, and irritation also.

Ginkgo Biloba: This herb helps to cure diseases like Glaucoma and macular degeneration. It may improve & sharpen vision and also regulates blood flow to the brain, eye, and extremities.

Milk Thistle: It is a fantastic herbal tonic that keeps the liver young and healthy, in turn, healthy liver prevents vision problems.

Wild Asparagus: Loaded with Vitamins and antioxidants, it helps in lowering the risks of catching eye disease. Add a tsp of wild asparagus and some honey in a cup of warm cow milk and drink it every day.

Some Home Remedies:

Turmeric: Curcumin present in turmeric helps relieve Dry eye syndrome. Its anti-oxidant properties help to treat glaucoma and cataract. Turmeric milk is very beneficial for the eyes as well as overall health.

Bilberries: The study shows that daily intake of bilberries can improve vision by 30% also It can treat eye conditions like cataracts and retinal disorders. 

Almonds: Rich in omega 3 fatty acids, Vit E, and antioxidants, almonds naturally improve your eyesight. They are also good for memory power and concentration. You can have them as it is or makes a paste of soaked almonds and drink it with a glass of milk.

Fennel: This is the herb of sight. Add a cup of almonds, fennel, and sugar to a grinder and make a powder. Have one tsp of this powder with a glass of milk before going off to sleep. Repeat this for 40 days and you will see improvements in your eyesight.

Amla is the source of vitamin C and a powerful Ayurvedic remedy for improving vision. Mix a few spoons of amla juice to half a cup of water. Drink this two times a day, if you want mix some honey for better taste.

Desi Ghee: Ghee is rich in vitamins and minerals that improve your eyesight and overall health. For better results, apply ghee on your temples and massage for a few minutes.

Extra Tip:

Eye exercises: Roll your eyes in both clockwise and anticlockwise directions for a few seconds each. Blink your eyes quickly for 20 to 30 seconds repeatedly. Practice this twice daily.

Walk barefoot in the grass every morning, Quit smoking, always wear sunglasses and a wide-brimmed hat to protect your eyes from sun rays, Give your eyes a break, follow the 20-20-20 rule: Every 20 minutes, look about 20 feet away for 20 seconds, Manage chronic conditions like diabetes, high blood pressure, and multiple sclerosis as these may affect your vision, Use copper bottle for water as copper is good for your eye health, Take enough sleep and rest your eyes, Don’t rub them too much and take an eye test regularly.
